DAMAST: The German Federal Government reports on the project

An article on the DAMAST project was published on the federal government's website on September 23, 2021.

The German article on the Federal Government's website reports that the project team from Karlsruhe is investigating the risks for dams with partners from Georgia and Armenia. The aim is to make the operation of dams safer and more efficient.

The DAMAST team aims to develop innovative, integrated monitoring concepts to better monitor dams even at difficult sites and to improve risk management. This is to be achieved by using innovative sensor technology, computer models and detailed recording of the dam and terrain structures. To this end, investigations are currently taking place at the Enguri dam in the Georgian part of the Caucasus, which are reported on in the article.
