The 11th session of the CCDA will be held in Nairobi, Kenya, from 1-2 September 2023.

The theme of this year’s meeting is “Green Growth and Climate Finance for Africa and the World”. As an expert meeting, the conference is part of the African Climate Week (ACW) (LINK) and will deliver outcome statements for it. The outcomes for the Summit will then be formulated as a common African position to be represented at the UN Climate Change Conference 2023/ COP 28.

This year’s host is the Government of Kenya in cooperation with Climate for Development in Africa (ClimDev-Africa), a consortium of key African development institutions including the African Development Bank (AfDB) and the African Union (AU).
