For the 26th time, members of government from the forestry and private sectors as well as representatives of forestry organisations and NGOs will come together from 10 to 13 September 2023 to discuss the future of forests.

Participants will discuss topics such as resilience of forest systems and rangelands, reforestation efforts and forest value chains.

The event is organised by one of the six regional United Nations Forestry Commissions. This year, the Middle East Commission is executing the meeting of members and for this reason it is being held in Jordan. Therefore, this year’s focus is particularly on forestry challenges in this region.
