United Nations Environment Assembly

As the world's highest decision-making body on environmental issues, the United Nations Environment Assembly (UNEA) will meet again in 2024 to discuss the global environmental agenda with its members from the 193 Member States. The Assembly adopts overarching policy guidelines and discusses policies to address emerging environmental issues. The UNEA serves to review policies, engage in dialogue and exchange of experiences, and provide strategic guidance for the direction of the United Nations Environment Programme.

The 6th session of the UNEA will take place from 26 February to 1 March in Nairobi, Kenya.
