From 2-3 November 2023, the Vienna Energy Forum takes places in Vienna, Austria. Meeting participants will promote an inclusive and sustainable development of the energy sector.

During the forum, senior government officials and experts discuss priorities and different local perspectives on how to achieve net-zero emissions by 2050. In diverse formats, projects and action plans find a platform to present innovative energy and climate protection measures to help achieve that net-zero goal.

The forum has been taking place since 2008 and is the result of a joint initiative of the International Institute for Applied System Analysis (IIASA) and the United Nations Industrial Development Organisation (UNIDO).
