After the virtual project start last year due to the pandemic, the Drought-ADAPT project team was finally able to travel to the project region from 3 to 16 July 2022. A first stakeholder workshop was held at the Irrigation Management Company (IMC) in Gia Nghĩa, in the project province of Đắk Nông. The first field visits took the German-Vietnamese research group to the Krong No district, which has been frequently affected by drought in recent years, as well as to other parts of the Sre Pok river basin.
