The aim of the event was to introduce the scientific landscapes of both countries and to strengthen the existing scientific cooperation. Around 150 people attended the event, including funding agencies, and scientific institutions from Kazakhstan and Germany. Keynote speakers included Ms Gabriele Hermani, head of the BMBF country department for Central Asia, as well as representatives from the MHES Committee of Science, the Science Fund Kazakhstan, and the Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
