On 8 May 2019, the kick-off meeting of the German partners for the TRABBIO funding project took place at REW Regenis in Quakenbrück. The kick-off meeting served to get to know all the project partners involved and to set a concrete schedule and coordinate the various work packages in the project. The next step is to take a closer look at the conditions in Brazil and to hold intensive talks with the Brazilian project partners.

TRABBIO stands for "Transformation of Brazilian Bioresidues into Material and Energy Carriers Capable of Handling". The aim is to develop holistic processes and measures to process bioresidues from Brazilian sugar cane production and to use them to establish sustainable and transshipable biocoke products for various applications on the market.
