New video about the CLIENT II funding programme

A new video has been produced to introduce a wider audience to the aims and objectives of the CLIENT II funding programme, which is supported by the German Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF). The video highlights the programme’s role in facilitating international cooperation to develop innovative and sustainable climate, energy, environmental and resource solutions. It also explains its pioneering approach to promoting joint research and development projects between research institutes and businesses in Germany and emerging economies or developing countries.

Produced by Client2Works, a project accompanying the funding programme, the four-minute video shows how the CLIENT II programme brings together government, research and business. Alongside footage that includes CLIENT II projects, it features interviews with Dr. Christian Alecke from BMBF, Prof. Dr. Claudia Kemfert from the German Institute for Economic Research (DIW Berlin), and the coordinators of the KASHEMP, LINOKAS, RIESGOS and BestBioPLA projects. As such, it provides viewers with a brief insight into many different aspects of the CLIENT II funding programme.

The film is being shown in the German Pavillion at the 25th UN Climate Change Conference (COP25) in Madrid from 2 to 13 December, and will then be shared with all CLIENT II stakeholders to support their communications and outreach activities.
