- Image22.08.2023IndonesiaClimate protection/ energy efficiencyThe EnaTex project aims to accompany the Indonesian textile industry on its way to a more sustainable production. The focus is on increasing energy efficiency and promoting the use of renewable energies, embedded in a holistic corporate social responsibility (CSR) strategy. In June 2023, a delegation of Indonesian researchers from the Catholic University of Atma Jaya and the Politeknik STTT Bandung visited the German project partners in Mönchengladbach, Leonberg, Heidelberg, and Saarbrücken. Together, the project partners conducted working visits, workshops and networking meetings.

The PROCEED project is investigating the potential of decentralised solar systems to complement mini-grids. A first pilot plant has now been created at Tsumkwe secondary school.

The latest issue of the FONA newsletter includes a report on the project.
- Image15.08.2023VietnamLand managementAs part of the OrganoRice project, Vietnamese students from Can Tho University are using an app developed by the project to record land and pesticide use. After a short training, the app allows for quick recording of land use, including information on irrigation and crop rotation obtained from interviews with farmers. They can also upload photos onto the app, to show the current situation.
- ImagerevolBRAS: Additional funding, new international contacts and final results of the gravimetric study15.08.2023BrazilResource efficiency and circular economyThe company RITTEC (project lead), Brazilian consultancy Circulagem and a Brazilian cosmetics manufacturer have received further funding to study the recycling of PET-packaging from the cosmetics industry. In addition, two Brazilian students will have the opportunity to travel to Germany as part of an international exchange programme to work on the revolBRAS project. Since the last update, the project has completed an extended gravimetric study with five Brazilian waste collectors’ cooperatives, with the results now available.

It will support the analysis of biogas and biomass gasification product gases and thus enable safe plant commissioning and efficient regular operation of the energy park in Ghana.
